Day 1- Arrival in cochin- Transfer to Munnar. Upon your arrival at the Cochin International Airport or Ernakulum Railway station, our representative will greet you and assist with your transfer to Munnar. Munnar is a lovely and famous hill station known for its tea plantations, beautiful valleys and lush greenery. Munnar offers breathtaking views and the aura of this place will leave you spell bound. Check in- Hotel/Resort in Munnar Evening: Relax and explore the surroundings of this place and have a gala time.
Day 2- Munnar Sightseeing Enjoy the mouth-watering breakfast before heading to explore Munnar. Highlights of the day Include- Mattupetty Dam – Known for its alluring views and peaceful surroundings. Kundala Lake – A picturesque lake where you can enjoy boating amidst the scenic landscapes. Our journey will also include a visit to Eco point and a marvellous drive to the captivating tea plantations along the route. For the who are nature enthusiasts a visit Eravikulam national park is highly recommended. Please be mindful that the park is generally closed for visitors from February to April due to the calving season. The park operates from 7am to 4pm.
Day 3- Munnar to Thekkady (110 KM / 3 hrs 15 mins) Explore Kerala's Wildlife and Spice Trails. After breakfast, drive to Thekkady, which is also known as the Kerela’s Spice capital. It’s famous for its forests, wildlife, and spice plantations. Top Things to Do in Thekkady: Boating in Periyar Lake: Enjoy a peaceful 2-hour boat ride in the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and spot wild animals like elephants, bison, deer, and sambar along the lake shores. Visit a Spice Plantation: Learn how Kerala spices like cardamom, pepper, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg are grown. Jungle Jeep Safari: Go on an exciting 3-hour off-road jungle safari—great for nature lovers (no trekking needed). Cultural Shows: Watch live Kathakali dance and Kalaripayattu (Kerala’s martial art). Ayurvedic Massage: Relax with a traditional Kerala Ayurvedic spa treatment. Later, return to your hotel/resort for an overnight stay.
Day 4: Head from Thekkady to Alappuzha (Alleppey) covering 165kms (3.5 hours) Discover the Backwaters of Kerala After breakfast, travel to Alleppey, also recognised as the "Eastern Venice and "Rice Bowl of Kerala". This beautiful town is famous for its backwaters, houseboats, and lush green paddy fields below sea level. Top Activities in Alappuzha- Houseboat Cruise: Enjoy a scenic Kerala backwater tour in a houseboat or motorboat through the calm lagoons and canals. Alleppey Beach: Relax on the serene Alleppey Beach if time allows. Local Market Walk: Stroll through local markets for spices, crafts, and souvenirs. Stay overnight in Alappuzha.
Day 5: Alappuzha to Cochin (70 KM / 1.5 hrs)- Farewell from Kerala. After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Cochin (Kochi). Based on your flight or train schedule, you’ll be dropped off at the airport or railway station.
