Beauty of Darjeeling and Gangtok

Day 1: Bagdogra/NJP to Darjeeling (93 kms, approx. 3 hours) Meet and assistance at the airport or station. Drive to Darjeeling About Darjeeling- Located in the Himalayas at 2,134 meters, Darjeeling (also called "Dorje Ling", meaning "Place of the Thunderbolt") is famous for its views of snow-covered mountains like Kanchenjunga. It is known as the “Queen of the Hills,” with many tea gardens, small villages, and a beautiful narrow-gauge railway. Overnight stay at hotel in Darjeeling 

Day 2: Darjeeling Early morning visit to Tiger Hill (depending on weather and ticket availability) to see the sunrise over mountains like Kanchenjunga and Mount Everest. Return to hotel for breakfast, City tour includes- Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursdays) Zoo (closed on Thursdays), Tenzing Rock, Gombu Rock, Tea Garden (view from outside), Japanese Temple & Peace Pagoda. Day 3: Darjeeling to Pelling (75 kms, approx. 3 hours) Breakfast at hotel, Drive to Pelling About Pelling- A peaceful village in West Sikkim at around 2,000 meters altitude, with great views of Mt. Kanchenjunga. Afternoon sightseeing in Pelling- Sky Walk Pemayangtse Monastery Rabdentse Ruins. Overnight stay at hotel in Pelling 

Day 4: Pelling to Gangtok (127 kms, approx. 5 hours) Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Gangtok About Gangtok- At 1,750 meters, Gangtok is the capital of Sikkim. It’s a mix of modern development and traditional Buddhist culture. Popular with travellers heading to North Sikkim. Half-day sightseeing in Gangtok- Flower Show, Handicraft Center Institute of Tibetology Do Drul Chorten (stupa)Overnight stay at hotel in Gangtok

Day 5: Gangtok Breakfast at hotel. Full day trip to Changu Lake (35 kms from Gangtok, at 12,400 feet). The lake is covered by snow and surrounded by stunning mountains. Local legends say monks could predict the future by the lake’s color. Visit New Baba Mandir. Overnight stay at hotel in Gangtok 

Day 6: Gangtok to Bagdogra/NJP (125 kms, approx. 4 hours) Breakfast at hotel. Drive back to Bagdogra/NJP for flight/train to your next destination.
